I am not really sure that I can handle another day of pain. I feel exactly like I did yesterday which was exactly the way I felt the day before. I am not noticing any progress. Now I am just worn down from only being able to sleep two hours at a time. I really need this to ease up some soon.

Oh no! They need to reevaluate the lidocaine lollies or something... if nothing else at least for bedtime so you can get rest. You need your rest to heal. Do I need to come there and take ball bat to a doctors shins for you?

I really hope you're able to get some rest and start actually feeling better. I can't imagine how much pain you must be in, but I'm sure it's awful. Hopefully it'll start easing up soon.

Yep, as I suspected. The stitches were not supposed to come out yet. So, now I get to start all over with recovery and pain management which is not going well in the first place. I did learn that there is such a thing as a lidocaine lolly pop. Must procure some of those with haste today. Too bad I still have to try to struggle through another day of work. This is grueling. I thought about posting a picture of the hole in my tongue, but it is just too *shivers* gross. It is something that you cannot unsee.

I think my stitches have begun to dissolve too soon. I am in a pretty good deal of pain this morning and hardly slept from the pain last night. As soon as the office opens, I am going to be calling the surgeon.

Having surgery on your tongue is not for the faint-hearted. Needless to say, I am vertical again as work will not stop and so I must plug onwards. I will write more about the weekend's travails soon.
